Summarizing myself through some things I made, some other things that inspired me, and thought too much about, basically a snapshot in my brain…

I made an animation!

I’d like to think that no matter what we do, we are all telling stories at the core. Whether it’s selling an idea to a group of audience, helping others to tell their stories, or proving a point, are all an art form of conveying ideas clearly and concisely.

I took a Story Telling course in Summer 2020 and had the opportunity to make a 3D animation short film on Maya. It was such an amazing experience to take a glimpse at the work that goes behind the animations. How every aspect - the rhythm, the motions of the characters, the order of shots, the frame angles, all contribute to how the audience perceives a story. One would think that it’s impossible, but I have even more respect than I had before for animators.

So… bear with me that the quality of the animation is nothing close to what we see on big screens. I came up with the story, design the shots, and made the animation. The goal was to tell a story and I hope I told it right.

Let me know what you think of the story!
